How easy is the device to install?
We designed HakTrap to be installed in less than five minutes. Power on, plug in using color coded cables and full color instructions, and you’re up and running.
Can you help me install my device or set-up my account once it arrives?
Yes! We have free live installation support available to all customers. Our team of experts can help you through our 1-800 number or live chat.
How can I tell the device is working?
There are two ways to know the device is working. The first is by logging into the customer portal that you will create a login for upon registration. You can use the portal to look at real-time reports and save them to your computer.
The second way is to view your monthly detailed protection reports we send directly to you. These will detail all the different attempts at attacks that have occurred. Click here to see a report example.
I already have a firewall and antivirus on my computer, isn’t that enough protection?
Those types of utilities are great protection for your pc, but only your pc. The devices that are being introduced into our Smart Homes are all part of the Internet of Things (IoT) and have their own connections out to the Internet, creating vulnerabilities these other utilities cannot detect, prevent or protect.
What if I want to try the product before committing?
We suggest the monthly subscription option for testing purposes. This covers the cost of the device and start-up, and after a month, you can contact customer service and we will work with you to address any issues or concerns prior to cancelling.
I’ve never been hacked or had my information stolen, why should I worry about it happening now?
We like to think of HakTrap as preventative healthcare for your home’s network security. Our system blocks over 350,000 threats per day for our customers. While you may have not had an issue yet, at least that you know about, HakTrap makes it so that you do not have to worry about what could happen to your most precious data.
Why would I need the Dark Web add-on subscription?
We offer this service to fortify your family network. Using this service, we provide continuous searching, monitoring, and reporting of your digital credentials on the Dark Web. You do not have to connect any of your hardware or software to this system. We use our advanced cybersecurity analysis systems to provide awareness of any compromised monitored credentials before they are stolen or part of data breaches.
